Complex Needs Support Worker

About the role
The Care Co. is seeking a passionate and experienced Complex Needs Support Worker to join our team in Spearwood, WA. This is a part-time role that will see you providing high-quality, compassionate care and support to individuals with complex needs within the local community.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Providing support with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation
- Engaging clients in meaningful activities and outings to promote independence and social inclusion
- Monitoring client health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Advocating for client needs and collaborating with allied health professionals to deliver holistic care
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, supporting individuals with complex needs. Specifically with PEG feeding and suctioning experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of person-centred care principles and disability support practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care
- A relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver's licence
