About the Opportunity
Paragon is growing and with a huge pipeline ahead we are looking to connect with the following:
Experienced Building Managers seeking a fresh challenge or relocation to Newcastle (Senior BM)
Emerging talent in property or facility management ready to step into a building management role (Junior BM )
Property Management
- Oversee daily building operations, ensuring all services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard
- Manage tenant and resident relations, addressing concerns and coordinating maintenance requests promptly
- Ensure properties remain compliant with local regulations
Maintenance & Repairs
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance work, including inspections, repairs, and servicing of infrastructure (cleaning, HVAC, elevators, plumbing)
- Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure quality outcomes within budget
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all properties meet safety and environmental standards
- Implement and oversee emergency procedures, including fire safety, evacuation plans, and first aid readiness
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Assist with negotiating and managing vendor contracts
- Conduct performance reviews of contractors and address any issues
TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THE SENIOR BM:
- Proven experience as a Building/Facility Manager
- An understanding of legal requirements
- Qualifications in building management or related fields (desirable but not essential)
- General knowledge of building management and maintenance procedures
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust-based relationships quickly with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously to achieve goals and outcomes.
- Be able to work in high pressure situations and an ever changing environment
- Importantly, you have a passion for what you do, be inquisitive and continually strive for the best outcome.
- Experience with building management software such as BuildingLink (highly desirable)
TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THE JUNIOR BM:
- Experience in the Real Estate/ Maintenance industry
- A customer service 'can do ' attitude
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust-based relationships quickly with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously to achieve goals and outcomes.
- Be able to work in high pressure situations and an ever changing environment
- Importantly, you have a passion for what you do, be inquisitive and continually strive for the best outcome.
