ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lead Educator you will inspire and guide learning for children aged 1.5 – 2 years.

You'll lead engaging programs, mentor and support your team, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Room Based - Diploma Qualified Lead Educator
  • This is a Permanent, full-time (Mon – Fri) opportunity.
  • Must be available for OPEN and CLOSING shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and review of programs
  • Responsible for programming and documentation
  • Set up, facilitate, and pack down meaningful play-based experiences that promote exploration and growth.
  • Create a friendly, stimulating and interactive learning environment.
  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children and families
  • Build strong, trusting connections with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community.
  • Guide and support educators to deliver quality practices and achieve positive outcomes for children.
  • Participate in ongoing training, reflective practice, and collaborative team meetings.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

ABOUT YOU

You're a nurturing, passionate educator who thrives in a collaborative environment and loves seeing children flourish.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Hold or be willing to obtain Blue Card
  • Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
  • Completion of one of the following:

  • CHCPRT025, CHCPRT001, CHCPRT026, CHCPRT002 OR CHCECE057

  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and Child Protection laws
  • Possess highly effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed time management skills including the ability to prioritise, plan, organise, and manage competing demands
  • Personal attributes such as creativity, initiative, responsible, mature, warm, friendly, happy, approachable and professional
  • Ability to follow and take directions from supervisors
  • Ability to work in and lead a team
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach for continuous improvement
  • Flexibility in relation to working hours
  • Computer literacy - including the Microsoft Office suite
