Bunbury Industrial Controls Pty Ltd (BIC) is a proudly West Australian owned and operated company, commencing life as a contracting business in 1988. We have since grown, now providing instrumentation, electrical and sales solution services to major heavy industrial and mining companies.

BIC has developed strong lasting relationships with a range of industries throughout Australia and globally. These include, mining and metals, chemicals and refining, water and waste water, power and energy, timber, food processing and more.

Due to significantly expanding our growth, we are seeking applications for a permanent role to work with us.

Role

The role will be a mix of actively developing and maintaining lasting industry relationships, strategic marketing, providing high level technical guidance to customers and facilitating product sales.

This will involve:

  • Site visits to customers to develop and maintain key relationships as well as provide solution offerings where suitable
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to stay up to date with leading edge products and offerings
  • Identifying business development and growth opportunities
  • High level familiarisation with industry manufacturers, suppliers, products and technical offerings
  • Internal processing of quotations and orders

The successful applicant will work closely with the BIC Sales Manager, operating unaccompanied once suitably familiarised with BIC.  The position lends itself to have an open scope and will be strongly driven by the successful applicant long-term.

Initially the successful applicant will operate under the existing BIC sales model.  The role could lead on to the further development of the company sales model/directive and could lead to management of the sales division within the company long-term.

Requirements

  • The ideal applicant will:
  • Be approachable, honest and committed to helping our customers
  • Have strong communication skills, negotiation awareness and show decisiveness in pressured situations
  • Value the company's integrity and show a high level of respect for the customers
  • Be self motivated and willing to learn
  • Reside in the South West of WA
  • Have a high level technical understanding of electrical/instrumentation/control systems
  • Be willing and able to drive frequently to visit customers, and work to a standard of 45 hours a week
  • Have experience in sales and/or customer relations
  • Have experience in the industrial/mining industry
  • Hold a current C-Class Australian Drivers License
