Hydraulics Technical Specialis

RCR Mining Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Technical Specialist to join our Bunbury Workshop on a full-time basis.
In this role, you will play a key part in growing our hydraulic services and revenue through direct customer engagement. By providing hands-on technical support, diagnostics, and site-based service activities, you'll secure ongoing service and sales opportunities for our OEM equipment and associated hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion Safety, Quality & Environmental standards – report hazards and incidents via client portals or the RCRMT 360 tool.
- Conduct hydraulic system audits, identifying opportunities for repairs and service (on-site and off-site).
- Generate work pipelines for hydraulic teams through job scoping, quotations, and reporting.
- Provide clients with detailed equipment health and performance reports.
- Diagnose faults and prepare comprehensive product analysis reports.
- Oversee site execution work scopes – manage pre-site planning, supervise workgroups, and liaise with customer stakeholders.
- Manage procurement, assembly, installation, functional testing, and spare parts requirements.
- Create clear work instructions for hydraulic teams and interpret/markup hydraulic schematics.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Qualifications & Licences:
- Certificate III Mechanical Engineering Tradesperson
- Certificate IV Fluid Power
- S26 Statutory Supervisor
- WA Driver's Licence
- Working at Heights, Confined Space, Gas Testing & Firefighting competency
- Experience:
- 10+ years in mechanical engineering
- 5+ years in the fluid power industry
- Competence in 24VDC electrical control systems
- Strong background in quotations, costing, and customer engagement
- Skills:
- High-level sales and networking acumen
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Technical drawing and schematic interpretation (CAD experience desirable)
