About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Claims Officer to join our dynamic team at Austbrokers Comsure in Brisbane. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in processing and managing insurance claims, ensuring our clients receive prompt and efficient service. With a focus on providing exceptional customer experience, this role is essential in supporting the overall success of our insurance business.

What you'll be doing

  • Reviewing insurance claims and supporting documentation to determine coverage and eligibility
  • Liaising with clients, insurers and other stakeholders to gather information and progress claims
  • Accurately inputting claim data and documentation into our internal systems
  • Identifying and escalating complex or high-risk claims as required
  • Providing regular updates to clients on the status of their claims
  • Ensuring all claims are processed in a timely and compliant manner
  • Continuously improving our claims processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • 3-5 years' experience in a claims processing or customer service role, preferably within the insurance industry
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Sound knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in using various software programs and databases
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Authorisation to work in Australia is required for this position
