As one of the most exciting and dynamic teams in the Australian water industry, we are positioned exceptionally well with a very strong foundation of client partnerships in both metropolitan and regional utilities. Our specialist capabilities in process engineering, complex brownfield design, utility planning, decarbonisation and circular economy means we are positioned well for growth and to undertake projects that have real impact.

The opportunity
Following internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced, commercially focused leader to join our team. This role will require you to lead the ongoing development and implementation of business strategy alongside broader Beca strategies and in collaboration with the business and regional leadership teams. You'll oversee and lead appropriate business operations, sales, marketing, CRM activities and interactions with key clients.

This is a pivotal leadership opportunity where you can make a significant and lasting impact on both our organisation and the future of the industry. In this role, you'll be expected to foster relationships built on trust and mutual respect, including engagement with Traditional Owners, to make sure our work supports positive outcomes for all communities.

Reporting to Group Director – Resources and Process, you'll join our join Australian Executive Team and primarily be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic and commercial leadership to shape and deliver business plans in line with our global strategy, this role applies knowledge of the water sector to support our ongoing growth and is responsible for achieving performance targets, including managing profit and loss.
  • Leading a high-performing team committed to technical innovation, outstanding client service, and ambitious business goals and upholding respect for Country as part of sustainable practice.
  • Collaborating with operational leaders to put effective resourcing strategies in place, ensuring we meet client and business goals while creating opportunities for growth and development across the team.
  • Upholding strong governance by managing project, commercial, and technical risks while developing enduring client partnerships that maximise successful outcomes.
  • Supporting our market-facing activity in the water sector to further build on our culture of client connectedness as everyone plays a role in the sustainable growth of our water business.
