The Role

Due to significant growth, MCA Engineering are seeking the following to join the team in Thornton NSW for upcoming projects onsite all aspects of Civil Construction and MCA products. There may also be some interstate travel to our other branches depending on the projects and local workload.

  • Formwork Carpenters - Must be experienced in civil concrete construction
  • Concreters
  • Steel fixers
  • Crane Operators
  • Riggers

Selection Criteria:

  • High-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, without supervision, and be part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and diligence for quality of work
  • Relevant Trade Qualifications or experience
  • Proven ability to always adhere to safety procedures and maintain a safe, work environment
  • Are available to go to an interstate mine site when required.
  • Must be able to pass regular D&A testing and site required medicals
  • Must have current drivers' licence and reliable vehicle to travel to work sites
  • Must have Confined Space ticket
  • LR, MR, HR licence would be an advantage
  • High risk tickets, Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, Dogging, Rigging, etc also would be an advantage.
  • Crane Operator licence would also be an advantage

  • Must be locally Newcastle based
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Mine-site and Construction site experience
  • A can-do attitude with the drive to succeed
