Safe-T-Products is a manufacturer of emergency stop and protective stop devices for conveyors supplied to domestic and international markets via distributors. All products are assembled at our facility in Malaga, Western Australia.

Production Planner is a crucial role providing support our production team. Given the customised nature of our product lines, devices are assembled to order with other products assembled to stock. This position supports the efficient and fast fulfilment of sales orders. In this role, you will schedule and track orders daily. You will also ensure optimal allocation of materials and labour resources to meet assembly demands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting weekly toolbox meetings
  • Schedule daily orders
  • Provide relevant parties of lead times
  • Anticipate any material and capacity shortfalls
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of sub-assemblies
  • Co-ordinate Stocktake
  • Collaborating with the QA/Purchasing Officer to maintain adequate raw materials
  • Working closely with assembly team to allocate labour resources, particularly during large-scale projects, ensuring orders are completed to schedule
  • Training and conducting reviews for Assemblers

This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless production operations and consistently delivering high-quality results to our distributors within agreed timelines.

About You:

  • 3 years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Excellent Computer Skills in particular Excel (Microsoft Dynamics 365would be advantageous)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication and numerical skills
  • Collaborative, organised, responsible and disciplined
  • Strong time management skills
  • Solid understanding of OH&S
