The Role
As our Production Planner, you'll play a key role in ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) through effective production scheduling. You'll manage production plans that align with capacity, customer demands, and resource availability. This position is critical to ensuring production targets are met in line with forecasts.
Key responsibilities:
· Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules in line with SRP planning.
· Create rig structures (production BoMs) using ERP systems and Excel.
· Prepare rig folders including rig sequences and checklists for team leads.
· Manage and action work orders efficiently and on time.
· Schedule all new orders into the production plan accurately.
· Create, start, and stop manufacturing orders in ERP.
· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across departments.
· Ensure up-to-date forecasting, especially option percentages.
· Coordinate rig assignments during design changes (CN – Change Notifications).
· Champion continuous improvement and process documentation.
· Uphold safety and compliance in line with Epiroc Way and Code of Conduct.
About you
· To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
· A degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
· Experience in production/manufacturing planning roles.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
· Strong time management and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
· A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
· Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Understanding of inventory and stock control practices.
· Leadership or project management experience (desirable).
