• Lead and empower a statewide team of Aboriginal Community Liaison Officers to strengthen connections between schools, communities and AECGs
• Build trusted partnerships and drive engagement strategies that amplify Aboriginal voices in education decisions
• Shape outcomes through collaboration, clear communication and a strong commitment to Aboriginal education excellence

The Manager, Stakeholder Engagement manages the co-ordination and direction of the work of the Aboriginal Community Liaison Officers in effectively supporting the implementation of initiatives to meet the outcome objectives of the NSW Plan for Public Education, Aboriginal Education and Communities Strategic Plan and the NSW Department of Education/Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Partnership Agreement.

• Build strong, respectful relationships with diverse stakeholders across schools and communities
• Communicate with influence, clarity and cultural sensitivity in complex environments
• Lead with integrity, resilience and a genuine commitment to public education
• Deliver results through collaboration, strategic thinking and a focus on positive outcomes for Aboriginal learners
• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

• Ability to travel interstate as required
• This position is designated for the employment of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
