About the role

As a Health, Safety and Compliance Officer at GLW Freight Management Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's operations comply with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations. This full-time role is based in Forrestdale, Western Australia and plays a pivotal part in maintaining the company's high standards and protecting the wellbeing of its employees.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing, implementing and monitoring health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
  2. Conducting risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate identified risks
  3. Providing training and guidance to employees on health, safety and compliance matters
  4. Investigating incidents and accidents, and reporting findings to management
  5. Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring the company maintains full compliance
  6. Continuous improvement of the company's health, safety and environmental management systems
  7. Providing technical advice and support to operational teams

What we're looking for

  1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in a health, safety and compliance role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
  3. Comprehensive understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations
  4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  6. Proactive approach to identifying and addressing workplace health and safety issues
  7. Proficient in using health and safety management software and data analysis tools
