  • Develop and implement comprehensive WHS strategies across all sites.
  • Review and update WHS systems, policies, and procedures to identify and manage potential risks.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of work environments to prevent hazards and promote a safe workplace culture.
  • Investigate non-compliance incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Coach managers on effective WHS practices and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
  • Communicate effectively with staff to engage them in WHS practices and provide regular updates on safety initiatives.
  • Plan and deliver targeted WHS training programs based on organisational needs and requirements.
  • Manage injury and workers' compensation processes with relevant stakeholders and ensure prompt resolution of claims.
  • Monitor claims and incidents to create proactive WHS programs that mitigate risk and promote a healthy workforce.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, aged care standards, and risk management practices.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a health and safety role with exposure to risk and incident management (ideally in the healthcare sector).
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety systems that promote workplace health and safety while supporting organisational deliverables.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and suggest necessary changes to unsafe work conditions.
  • Strong organisational skills for managing documentation related to workplace compliance and WHS program implementation.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office, WHS reporting and incident management systems.
