Established in 2002, Traralgon Paints has been supporting local industry for over 20 years. As the region's largest supplier of abrasives, industrial & marine coatings, automotive refinishing, decorative, parts & equipment; we provide the right advice, and the right product when you need it. In support of our growing business, we are currently seeking to expand our team to ensure we continue to meet our customer needs and maintain the quality of service and products we are renowned for.
About the Role
The Customer Service/ Store person is responsible for a broad spectrum of customer service and stock control duties such as enquiries, transactions, order fulfilment, deliveries and inventory control.
Customer service involves working with customers to process orders, provide information about Traralgon Paints' products and services and resolve customer concerns.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in retail sales and/ or warehouse operations.
- A general knowledge of paints and associated application processes is preferred, but not essential to the role.
- A current Worksafe Licence to operate a Forklift Truck, or willing to obtain on commencement.
- Experience in working in small teams in warehousing and counter sales.
- Intermediate computer skills, with the ability to navigate inventory and sales software.
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence - Manual Licence (Must be maintained throughout your period of employment)
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist customers with their enquires, returns or concerns via either face to face, phone or email, and provide solutions as appropriate
- Provide relevant and appropriate information about Traralgon Paints products and services
- Processing orders, including tinting paint products to customer order requirements
- Completion of customer transactions and deliveries where required
- Replenishing stocks, displays, shelf filing or any other method of exposure or presentation for sale of goods
