Scaffold Supervisor

ASAP start | 6-month contract | Temp tp Perm opportunity

8 hours day + OT

$520 per day + super

Based in Alexandria

Job Description:

Monitor and provide strong safety supervision with scaffolding activities with the relevant information instruction and training to ensure compliance to defined standards of performance

  • Coordinating and supervising all phases of maintenance and construction work on major and minor building, civil construction projects undertaken by both contract and day labour.
  • Contribute to solutions in construction methods and alternatives as necessary
  • Apply computer operating skills in contract administration, work scheduling and estimating
  • Comply with WHS principles, procedures, work practices, reporting and administrative requirements, applies and communicates WHS processes and knowledge to others.
  • Exercises discretion within role and ensures that equity and diversity principals are applied including the prevention of overt and covert discrimination
  • Provides on the job training and support to staff within stream.
  • Collaborate with the project team, management and staff on work projects, planning of resources including scaffold inventory and scheduled activiti
  • The role will require some physical work at times, specifically preparing and receiving scaffold in and out of the yard.

Licences and Permits required:

  • White Card
  • Intermediate Scaffold Ticket - Essential
  • Forklift licence - Essential
  • MR/HR Truck Licence - Highly Desirable
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Working with Children Check
