About The Role
This role is a hands on leadership opportunity within the City of Hobart's Construction Projects Team, supporting the delivery of essential infrastructure services across roads, footpaths, stormwater systems and public spaces.

Role Accountabilities Include

  • Leading and motivating a productive team to deliver high-quality maintenance and construction outcomes.
  • Supporting Team Leaders during absences and coordinating resources, including external contractors.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS policies, construction plans, and Council standards.
  • Coaching new team members and contributing to a safe, collaborative work environment.

About You
You are a confident and capable team leader with a strong background in civil construction and a passion for delivering quality outcomes for the community
.

You bring a practical mindset, a safety-first attitude, and a collaborative approach to your work.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Completion of Year 12, a Certificate IV level qualification or relevant experience.
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • Medium Rigid Licence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solid understanding of WHS practices.
  • Basic computer skills for completing safety and asset records.
