We are seeking a professional National Redress and Support Services Manager who demonstrates success in leading and developing highly engaged, values-aligned, and resilient teams through empathetic leadership that fosters trust, connection and accountability. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors of institutional child sexual abuse while shaping the ongoing success and wellbeing of our dedicated team.
About the role:
Reporting to the Director of Therapeutic and Support Services, this role is responsible for the operational leadership and management of Bravehearts' Beyond Brave Redress Support Service, ensuring it operates efficiently, ethically, and in alignment with organisational values, the Operational Plan, and the Department of Social Services (DSS) Redress Grant Agreement.
You will provide supervision, direction, and strategic insight to the Beyond Brave team whilst fostering a positive, culturally safe, and inclusive workplace culture that supports both staff and clients.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Lead, mentor, and empower team members through regular operational supervision, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence through constructive feedback and meaningful professional development opportunities.
- Oversee day-to-day program operations, ensuring timely, trauma-informed, and culturally safe support for clients engaging with the National Redress Scheme.
- Manage budgets, reporting, and compliance requirements under the DSS Redress Grant Agreement, including data and performance submissions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including DSS, the National Redress Scheme, and partner agencies, representing Bravehearts at meetings and forums.
- Champion Cultural Safety and Child Safe principles, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing team environment.
- Keep abreast of new developments within the National Redress Scheme and its processes.
Skills and experience required to succeed in this role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Sound knowledge and experience with the National Redress Scheme, including relevant legislation and processes.
- Proven ability to lead and develop engaged, high performing and values-aligned teams through empathetic and accountable leadership.
- Experience providing trauma-informed support to adults impacted by childhood sexual abuse and its lifelong impacts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, continuous improvement, risk management, and workplace health and safety.
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining personal wellbeing and promoting self-care practices.
- Drivers licence and ability to travel to our Logan and Strathpine offices (fortnightly).
- Must have or be willing to apply for a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and National Police Certificate.
