About the Role

As a Collections Officer (Skip Tracer), you'll play a vital role in our team by:

  • Investigating and locating individuals with outstanding debts using databases and public records.
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts and negotiating payment solutions.
  • Documenting all search activities and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinating with field agents for repossession when necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with NCCP, Debt Collection Guidelines, and the Privacy Act.
  • Handling sensitive information with professionalism and respect.
  • Building strong client relationships and prioritising positive outcomes.

What You'll Bring

  • At least 1 years' experience in collections, investigations, or financial services.
  • Strong computer and database search skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven track record meeting targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (NCCP, Debt Collection Guidelines, Privacy Act).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Satisfactory National Police Check (required).

Desirable but not essential:

  • Certificate III in Mercantile or Financial Services.
  • Experience with repossession and secured lending.
  • Advanced skip tracing methodologies and analytical skills.
