An opportunity is now available for a dynamic Accounts Officer to join their successful team based in their head office in the Brisbane CBD.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will primarily be responsible for collections functions as well as additional adhoc accounting tasks. This is a high volume, fast paced role that require high attention to detail, ability to think on your feet and prioritise your work. You will be working in a friendly and collaborative team environment where having a laugh is essential while working to achieve required KPI’s.

Responsibilities will include:

- Making proactive collection calls and following up on overdue accounts from allocated customers
- Answer and respond to incoming phone calls from customers
- Maintaining detailed collection notes in database
- Forwarding credit card details and taking payments over the phone
- Customer dispute resolution and handling of complaints
- Maintain and update customer details in XMS
- Send weekly payment reminders and statements for all overdue accounts
- Negotiating payment plans with difficult customers
- Investigate the allocation of credits and overpayments in the system
- Issuing letter of demand and final demand letters to non-paying customers
- Any other adhoc tasks and responsibilities as directed from time to time from the Finance manager
