Fleet Account Manager - Large Dealership Group

About the Role

We are seeking a highly proficient and capable Fleet Manager to take strategic ownership of key group accounts whilst also growing the portfolio with new fleet business. This pivotal role is structured to suit a candidate who is excellent with time management and strong with relationship building, all with a built-in results-driven attitude. The fleet professional we are seeking will have a strong background in fleet account management, FMO experience is highly regarded and looking to make a significant impact within a well-established and fast-paced automotive environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in nurturing long-standing client relationships while identifying new opportunities to grow the Fleet and FMO portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow existing key fleet accounts, with a focus on long-term relationships
  • Co-ordinate end-to-end fleet sales processes, from quotation to delivery
  • Managing your time to balance quotations with 3rd party KPIs, deliveries and business development
  • Be data-driven, including making pricing recommendations, while maintaining a strong overall commercial focus on the dealership business
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with corporate clients
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including sales, finance, and logistics teams
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the fleet market and automotive trends

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume key accounts efficiently, with strong time management traits
  • Deep understanding of the Australian automotive market and fleet management organisations (FMO)
  • Experience working with European marques and/or high volume vehicle brands is preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work autonomously
