Bupa is looking for keen and reliable Personal Care Attendant Trainees to join their busy team. There are multiple positions available in a range of locations.

**Job Purpose**

To deliver the highest quality ‘Person-First’ care to residents, as delegated by the Clinical Care Manager (CCM) / Registered Nurse (RN) in Charge / RN / Enrolled Nurse (EN). Ensuring the highest standard of safe, quality care and support is provided to residents.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting the delivery of the highest quality ‘Person First’ care to the residents in compliance with established relevant procedures, regulatory guidelines, and requirements. Specifically,

Provides care that is kind, caring and respectful of each resident’s identity, culture, and diversity.

Provides care that is inclusive and supports Resident choice/preference. o Always allows time for the Resident to communicate their wishes or complete current activity at their own pace.

Receives handovers from CCM / RN / EN to ensure continuity of care for resident allocation. Provides a ‘Person-First’ approach through delivery of individualised care. o

Maintains Resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Managing basic continence requirements of residents as per individual care plans.
- Completing care and documentation to support ACFI assessments as delegated by CCM / RN / EN on a daily basis.
- Reporting of any incidents, abnormal observation, or unusual circumstances for any Resident to the CCM / RN / EN.
- Participates in ‘Person-First’ approach care planning and evaluation for residents by providing input to family conferences and case review meetings as requested by the CCM / RN / EN.
- Attends to resident/relative concerns and complaints in a courteous and respectful manner and escalates to CCM / RN / EN where necessary.
- Maintains all necessary records and documentation as per the requirements stipulated in Bupa policies, procedures and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities within the aged care home as requested by the CCM / RN / EN.
- Undertake other activities as directed by the CCM / RN / EN in accordance with the workplan.

**Qualifications, Training and Experience Qualifications**:

- Undertaking a Certificate III in Aged Care; Experience:

- Previous experience within an Aged Care environment is preferred. Skills:

- Is capable of prioritising work within established policies, guidelines, and procedures; and
- Possesses good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service focus.

**Key relationships**
- Promoting a supportive relationship with residents and their families/visitors
- Care Home Leadership team
- Working with the RNs, ENs, Carers, Lifestyle and General Services Officers

**Risk management and compliance obligations**
- Responsible for understanding the risks, accountabilities, rules, and processes associated with my role.
- Report issues, incidents, and complaints in a timely manner.

To be considered for one of these positions, you must be keen, reliable, caring, have a great work ethic and committee to completing the Traineeship. Would prefer Full-time but will consider Part-time if above 25 hrs a week. Open to all age groups to find the right people.
