Our professional family in Mosman is seeking a warm, nurturing, and highly organised live-in housekeeper nanny to care for their 4-month-old baby girl. The ideal candidate is calm, attentive to detail, takes initiative, and can work autonomously while supporting the first-time parents, particularly the mother. This role offers the chance to join a welcoming home where you'll be a valued team member and treated like part of the family.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience caring for infants under 12 months, a gentle and patient nature, and confidence in supporting a baby's early development and milestones. You'll provide attentive, nurturing care while supporting daily routines and working alongside a first-time parent during her maternity leave. The nanny will assist with daily lunch preparation and light family meal prep, with flexibility to cook dinners around three times a week. Light household tasks will include laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and mopping, while a weekly cleaner handles heavier duties such as toilets and kitchen cleaning, allowing your focus to remain on childcare, supporting the mother, and keeping shared areas organised. During times when the mother is out, caring for the baby will be the primary responsibility.

The family offers a private modern ensuite with a peaceful backyard, a respectful and family-oriented household with open communication, and flexibility with work hours in a supportive and warm environment. The home is conveniently located in Mosman within walking distance to shops and public transport.

This role is ideal for a caring, trustworthy, and proactive nanny who thrives in creating a nurturing and well-organised home. The family values gentle emotional support to new parents, honesty, reliability, and a warm personality while helping maintain a harmonious and happy household during the early months of parenthood.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality care for the baby
  • Following established routines and reading baby cues
  • Preparing baby food and bottles when required
  • Supporting nap and sleep routines, including overnight care (2 nights per week - required Wednesday & Thursday nights)
  • Preparing family meals and assisting with light meal prep and kitchen tidying
  • Maintaining a clean and organised household environment: light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and mopping twice a week
  • Occasional short walks with the family dog (approx. 15 minutes)

  • Non-smoker
  • Minimum of 3+ years' full-time nanny experience with babies in Australia
  • Minimum of 2+ years' housekeeper experience in Australia
  • Fully vaccinated with up-to-date immunisations essential for infant care, including Whooping Cough (Pertussis), MMR, Influenza, and routine boosters.
  • A minimum of 2 Australian-based child-related references
  • Current Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain ASAP)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP)
  • Current National Criminal Record Check (or willing to obtain ASAP)
  • Excellent communication and English skills
