**Support Worker/Nanny - Part Time or Live-in Options Available**

We are seeking a support worker who is energetic, compassionate, reliable, and flexible to work within a family home, providing care and community access support for a 16-year-old male. He has Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a severe form of epilepsy, requiring tailored, person-cantered care.

**The role involves supporting him with**:

- Skill development in activities of daily living, personal care, and safety.
- In-home support, assisting with household tasks, meal preparation, and school routines.
- Community activities, like attending social events, swimming, amusement parks, and maintaining friendships.

We need a strong communicator with a proactive approach to ensuring his needs are met in line with the family’s requests and preferences. He enjoys engaging in activities and needs someone who can participate fully and offer companionship during his favourite outings.

**Two options are available**:
1. Part-time support, with competitive hourly rates.
2. Live-in support, with accommodation/food (private room) provided, and hourly rates adjusted accordingly.

Applicants must be fluent in English, non-smokers, and have experience working with teens with disabilities.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher)
- Minimum 12 months of experience supporting people with disabilities.
- Non-smoker
- English fluency (verbal and written)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Orientation Module, Working with Children Check, First Aid & CPR certification and valid Driver’s License.

**Desirable**:

- Experience working with teens, particularly those with complex needs such as Autism and intellectual disabilities.
- Nanny or in-home support experience, with a focus on safety and emotional well-being.

**Shift Opportunities**:
Active nights and potential weekday/weekend shifts. Respite care may progress to live-in support as his needs evolve.

Pay: $24.93 - $46.84 per hour
