Colab Design Group is a specialist in creating custom exhibition stands, branded environments, and immersive activations for leading brands across Australia.

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team and help bring our client's visions to life.


About the Role -

As a Production Assistant, you'll play a hands-on role in the successful execution of exhibition stands and brand activations — from design and procurement, through fabrication, to onsite build installations and pack downs.

Your day-to-day will involve:

Assisting in the coordination of custom stand builds and branded activations.

Managing supplier relationships, including fabricators, builders, and material suppliers.

Overseeing ordering, logistics, and scheduling to ensure smooth project delivery.

Supporting the team onsite at venues such as ICC Sydney, Westfield Shopping Centres, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Brisbane and Gold Coast Exhibition Centres, and many more across Australia.

Contributing to both the creative design process and the practical execution of projects.


About You -

This role will suit someone well organised who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and loves seeing projects through from concept to reality.

We are looking for someone who is:

Meticulous and detail-oriented – you notice the small things others might miss.

Proactive and self-motivated – you take initiative and get things done.

Energetic and team-focused – you enjoy collaborating in a tight-knit team environment.

Experienced in production – with knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, and custom builds.


Skills & Experience -

Previous experience in production, fabrication, or events industry would be beneficial.

Strong understanding of working with materials, suppliers, fabricators, and builders.

Proficiency in MS Office.

Experience with quote software and project planning tools.

Ability to travel interstate and work on site when required.
