Metal Machinist

We are currently seeking an experienced Metal Machinist to join our team in Milperra. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will operate machinery, handle steel materials, and ensure high-quality output in a safe and efficient workshop environment.

Your Role

· Operate machinery including brake press, plasma cutter, and rollers

· Read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings

· Safely handle, load, and unload materials

· Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery

· Monitor consumables and maintain a clean, organised workspace

· Work closely with the team to meet production targets and follow WHS requirements

Skills & Experience

· Trade qualification in Metal Machining, Engineering Fabrication, or equivalent experience

· Proven experience in a steel or machining environment

· Skilled in operating brake press, plasma, and rolling machines

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow safety procedures

· Crane or forklift licence advantageous

· Strong communication, reliability, and attention to detail
