**Seeking a resource for immediate start.

About the role:

Our Telco client is seeking a detail‑oriented QA Tester to help ensure the quality, functionality, and usability of our software products. The QA Tester will work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify bugs, define quality standards, and verify software meets business requirements before release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and execute test cases / test plans (manual and/or automated) to verify functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Identify, document, and report defects; track them through to resolution; perform regression testing after fixes.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to review requirements and clarification; help ensure testable requirements.
  • Maintain testing environments and test data setups; ensure test deliverables (e.g. test documentation, traceability matrices, test results) are up‑to‑date.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives) and support continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, and tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience (manual + automation preferred) testing software/web/mobile applications; familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. JIRA, HP ALM).
  • Prior experience in the telecommunications industry is an advantage.
  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python) to write or maintain automated tests; understanding of APIs and database testing.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem‑solving mindset, and ability to document issues clearly.
  • Good communication skills; ability to work in teams; experience in Agile or iterative software development environments.
