Hiring for Quality Assurance Tester

Contract - start asap until Feb'26

Location- Melbourne CBD

Rates- $700/day incl super

Client - Telco

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the
    quality engineering strategy
    for AI-based applications and APIs.
  • Design, build, and maintain
    test
    automation frameworks
    for frontend (Streamlit, React) and backend services.
  • Develop and execute
    stress, load, and volume testing
    to ensure system scalability and resilience.
  • Provide
    hands-on guidance
    in performance testing strategy and analysis, ensuring best practices across the team.
  • Integrate automated tests into
    CI/CD pipelines
    for continuous quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data scientists to embed quality practices into the development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and coach quality engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Quality Engineering Expertise
:

  • Proven experience designing, building, and optimising
    automation frameworks
    (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
  • Strong experience in
    API testing
    (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
  • Performance Testing
    :
  • Hands-on experience in
    performance testing strategy and analysis
    using tools like
    JMeter, K6
    , with the ability to guide others in execution.

Programming & Scripting
:

  • Proficiency in
    Python
    and/or
    JavaScript/TypeScript
    for automation.

Frontend & Backend Testing
:

  • Familiarity with
    Streamlit
    and
    React
    applications.
  • Experience testing
    RESTful APIs
    and microservices.
  • CI/CD & DevOps
    :
  • Proven experience integrating automation into
    CI/CD pipelines
    (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS CodeBuild).

Soft Skills
:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
