The Role
As part of our vision for continued growth, we have an opportunity for a permanent full-time hands-on Quality Control Technician. Reporting directly to the QA Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring our products are of high quality and meet customer specifications. You will also assist the Product Development Manager with assessing development materials.
The Quality Control Technician will join a dedicated team auditing jobs in progress on the production floor, conducting testing of our flexible packaging materials in our QC lab and generating quality analysis documentation. This exciting role will be ideal for a candidate who has previous experience working in a QC lab, possesses great attention to detail, is able to demonstrate initiative and is adept with operating testing instrumentation.
Key Duties
- Operate and manage laboratory testing equipment
- Conduct QC testing on production and development materials to ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Conduct and prepare quality audit reports on in-process product samples
- Maintain production QC testing records and product samples of production jobs
- Audit production & inspection logs and quality documentation to ensure accuracy
- Conduct routine pre-operational checks on production machines
- Provide testing results to assist with preparation of COAs.
Ideally, you will have:
- Laboratory and QC testing experience, preferably within a manufacturing business
- Experience with creating QC audit reports and certificates
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- An ability to effectively manage archival systems for records & samples
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000 would be beneficial
- Demonstrated commitment to adhering to policies and contributing to a safe work environment
- Experience in working with flexible packaging will be highly regarded
