Execute daily quality inspection activities on project sites and monitoring construction practices, verifying compliance with approved plans and specifications, and supporting by the engineers; Ensures that all works are inspected, recorded, and meet quality requirements. He also coaches the inspector II, assigns field tasks, and ensures full coordination with site engineering teams.

  • Principal Accountabilities:

  • Implement and uphold safety and security protocols to protect the well-being of all employees and company assets.
  • Inspection Preparation and Standards Familiarization

  • Prepare for inspection activities by understanding project requirements, quality standards, and inspection criteria.

  • Interpretation of the approved Construction (IFC) drawings, technical specifications, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) before initiating inspections.
  • Assist Engineer II in maintaining QC records and site documents.
  • Support Engineers in organizing site inspections and resolving quality-related site issues.

  • Inspections and Quality Control

  • Execute inspections and quality control tasks to verify compliance with project and regulatory standards.

  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with site personnel, client representatives, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
  • Conduct routine inspections of works conform to project drawings, ITP, checklist, method statements, and technical specifications, promptly notify the responsible QA/QC Engineer, Supervisor, or relevant personnel of any deviations from approved specifications or procedures.
  • Conduct work inspections and tests in accordance with the appropriate Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), ensuring full compliance with quality control protocols.
  • Identify and report any outstanding or remedial works to the responsible Site Engineer, Supervisor, or Foreman, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Participate and coordinate with third-party testing agencies in field work.
  • Participate and coordinate with third-party inspection agencies in field work.
  • Prepare the handover documentation packages, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and contractor instructions.
  • Participate in site quality standup meetings and ensure action items are implemented on site.

  • Documentation and Compliance Monitoring

Monitor and accurately document inspection outcomes to ensure traceability, compliance with quality standards, and continuous improvement.

Record inspection and test results using designated forms, checklists, and documentation tools as specified in the ITP, identify deviations and support quality reporting.

Escalate the site observation and non-conformance reports (NCRs) for any quality deviations to Engineer I Quality.

Record inspection outcomes, including observations, measurements, and test results.

Identify and report non-conformances (NCRs) or deviations from approved processes.

Maintain organized records of inspections, test reports, and quality documentation.

Review and verify compliance of site work with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.

  1. Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action Support

  2. Support implementation of corrective actions, process improvements, and knowledge sharing to continuously improve quality performance.

  3. Assist in root cause analysis of quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Inspect the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  5. Provide feedback to QA/QC engineers and site teams to improve inspection practices.

Miscellaneous Duties:

Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.
