THE ROLE

As the Residential Building Inspector, you will ensure all residential construction work complies with relevant building legislation, codes and approved documentation. You will work closely with certifiers, builders and clients to support safe, compliant and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct residential building inspections Sydney-wide
  • Prepare clear, accurate and timely inspection reports
  • Assess compliance with the NCC/BCA, DA/CDC conditions and relevant Australian Standards
  • Identify non-compliant works and provide guidance for rectification
  • Liaise with residential builders, contractors and certifiers
  • Attend site meetings and provide technical advice when required
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records in line with regulatory requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • A4 Registered Building Inspector
  • Strong knowledge of the NCC/BCA for residential classifications
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy inspection schedule
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across Sydney
  • Accreditation or working towards accreditation (highly regarded)
