SP Data Centres
is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented
Quality Inspector
to join our project management team overseeing hyperscale data centre construction. This full-time, site-based role is critical to ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality across architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire services disciplines.

Site Quality Inspections & Hold Point Verification

  • Attend GC hold point inspections per ITPs (e.g., waterproofing, pressure testing, HV terminations).
  • Review First-of-Kind (FOK) and mock-up installations.
  • Validate compliance with design intent, technical requirements, and Australian codes.
  • Raise and track NCRs via Procore; participate in weekly quality walks.

Material & Equipment Verification

  • Witness delivery and installation of major equipment (e.g., chillers, switchboards).
  • Confirm alignment with approved specifications.
  • Support offsite inspections (e.g., factory acceptance tests).

Room Readiness & Handover Support

  • Coordinate inspections with GC, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Verify finishes, services, and documentation against handover checklists.
  • Record defects, support re-inspections, and validate commissioning records.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain inspection records, dashboards, and NCR logs.
  • Ensure traceability and completeness of all quality documentation.
  • Conduct audits and support monthly reporting and lessons learned initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Construction Management.
  • 8–10 years' site experience in quality inspection across relevant trades.
  • Experience in data centres, commercial/residential construction, or critical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, NCC/BCA codes, QA/QC standards, and ITP/ITC protocols.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Visibuilt, and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites and adapt to evolving project demands.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Flexibility may be required during peak commissioning or handover periods.
