We are looking for dedicated, reliable and empathetic Support Workers who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.

Choice Support Tasmania is looking for support workers in the Hobart and surrounding areas.

The role may involve:

  • Assistance with community access and recreational activities
  • Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
  • Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
  • Transportation and supporting social engagement
  • Domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Willingness to learn to become the best Support Worker
  • Willingness to support people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
  • Prepared to undergo training for the use of a Hoist, PEG Feeding and Epilepsy Management
  • Flexible availability
  • Willing to travel and do sleepovers

Essential criteria:

  • An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support
  • Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
  • The legal right to work in Australia
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities
