Are you available between 6AM to 8PM? TasRespite and Support is looking for support workers with an interest in psychosocial disability.

Position: Support Worker

Location: [Hobart]

Employment Type: [Casual]

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with complex psychosocial needs.
  • Support participants in their daily living activities, building their independence and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and family members to ensure consistent and effective support.
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment, promoting positive relationships.

You must have, at a minimum:

  • Must hold a relevant CertIII, Cert IV, Diploma or Tertiary qualification (or its equivalent) / including demonstrated knowledge or experience in working with NDIS participants with complex needs.
  • Must hold WWVP cards and NDIS Worker Endorsement Registration or willingness to obtain.
  • Access to a reliable and roadworthy car for work purposes, comprehensive insurance and a valid Full Tasmanian Driving License
  • Current accreditation in Medication Administration, First Aid, Fire Safety, Manual Handling, or the capacity to gain competency within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Must maintain registrations and qualifications at all times.
  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation.
  • National Police Check
  • Access to a smartphone or another device with internet access.
  • Must agree and sign a confidentiality form to protect organisational and participants' information at all times.
