Company Description

Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.  In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cash Management & Expense Administrator to join our Finance Team at Anglo American Steelmaking Coal, based in our Brisbane Corporate Office.

In this diverse role, you'll support the day-to-day transactional operations of our banking and expense management functions.  You'll play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with our banking partners and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management

  • Process daily transactions including sales receipts, payment proposals, and internal transfers across ~25 bank accounts
  • Maintain appropriate bank balances
  • Prepare bank guarantee documentation and liaise with banking partners to obtain guarantees
  • Identify and monitor incidents for resolution with banking providers
  • Participate in SAP regression testing

Expense Management

  • Administer ~250 corporate credit cards, including activations, deactivations, limit changes, and cardholder support
  • Ensure timely reconciliations and approvals ahead of system integration cut-offs
  • Assist with compliance monitoring and governance

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with transactional banking software and Concur will be an advantage

  • Candidates with a background in Accounts Payable/Receivable, Banking are encouraged to apply

  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
