We are currently seeking a part-time Chef or Cook to join our passionate team at Bambini Richmond. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your love of food and nutrition into a warm, collaborative childcare setting.

About the Role
  • Part-time position (days and hours negotiable)
  • Prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals and snacks for children aged 0–5
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment
  • Cater to individual dietary needs and allergies
  • Support our educational program with food-based learning experiences
  • Be an important part of our daily rhythm and community
About You
  • Previous experience as a chef or cook (childcare/kitchen experience preferred)
  • Understanding of nutrition for young children
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Passionate about creating healthy, seasonal menus
  • Friendly, reliable, and organised

About You

  • A Certificate in hospitality or Certificate III in commercial cookery preferred but not essential (adequate experience will be considered).
  • Food Handlers certificate.
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate (highly regarded, though not essential).
  • Have a strong knowledge of and experience in managing children's allergy & medical conditions.
  • Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks.
  • Knowledge & understanding with Food Act 1984 and Food Safety Programs.
  • Willingness to learn and be a part of the Bambini family.
  • Positive, reliable, loves working collaboratively.
  • Current Working with Children's Check.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate.
