About Your Opportunity
As Principal Process Safety, you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Seqwater's operational process safety governance, strategies, and systems to support organisational goals in safety, water quality, environment, and supply. You will manage a team of process safety specialists and contractors to enhance process safety information, hazard analysis, and technical change management. Additionally, you will provide expert leadership and advice to Operations and management, supporting a proactive approach to process safety risk management.
This Role Is Responsible For
- Provide expert advice on process safety across the business
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process safety governance and systems, including engineering management of change and hazard analysis
- Champion a strong process safety culture within Operations, including training and system awareness
- Ensure compliance with all relevant process safety obligations
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of accurate and accessible process safety information
- Adhere to Seqwater's safety, quality, environmental, and conduct standards
- Perform additional duties as required
Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements. Please note that people with criminal records are not automatically deemed ineligible. Each application will be considered on its merits.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering
- Current active RPEQ registration; or ability to acquire (in a discipline relevant to the position)
- Significant demonstrated experience in a related role
- Experience in the implementation of process safety systems and engineering management of change
- Experience in developing a process safety culture
- Proven skills in communication, negotiation, co-ordination and consultation at all levels
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience leading technical teams
This position has a competitive salary range, plus 12.75% superannuation and is full-time, permanent.
