SUMMARY

Moorooka Chiropractic Centre is having a job opportunity for an experienced and motivated Front Desk & Social Media Assistant with strong communication skills, and excellent problem solving capacity to join the team

The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional front desk service while supporting clinic operations and using your creative flair to manage and improve our social media channels.

We are an established business with more than 40 years history of providing chiropractic care to Brisbane's south-side community. We are a dynamic, supportive and experienced team who are passionate about providing the best care for our patients, and value teamwork.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a casual role, offering approximately 15-17 hours a week. Availability: Monday (1PM - 6:15PM), Thursday (1PM - 7PM), Saturday (8AM - 1PM).

You will report directly to the Marketing & Practice Manager and Clinic Director (where applicable).

Starting date: 6 November

Key responsibilities:

1. Front Desk Operations (Core Reception Duties)

Manage all patient-facing reception tasks during shifts, including:

  • Greeting and checking in patients
  • Managing appointments, rebookings, and payments
  • Answering phones, SMS, and emails promptly and professionally
  • Ensuring all intake forms and records are completed and filed accurately

Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area

Prepare daily end-of-shift handovers and bank reconciliation

Liaise effectively with chiropractors, massage therapists, and other staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Relay patient notes or requests accurately to practitioners

Ensure accurate shift closing and hand-over, including informing the next shift and practice manager if there are any issues or unfinished tasks

Report any patient concerns, IT issues, or equipment malfunctions to the manager or clinic director promptly

Participate in team meetings and provide feedback to improve clinic operations

2. Social Media Coordination

Assist in planning and executing clinic social media plan and calendar to grow our social media channels

Create engaging social media content and post on our social media channels (1–2 per week). Use Canva to create designs, reels, videos, etc.

Track performance for improvements

ABOUT YOU

You're a friendly and professional communicator who builds rapport with patients easily. You need to love customer service and be excellent at communications and problem solving.

Importantly, you need to have great attention to details, be honest, proactive and willing to learn and have a strong sense of accountability and teamwork.

Social media is part of your day. You love finding ways to create content that represents a business professionally but also is engaging to audiences on different channels.

Our reception team often swap shifts, you will enjoy that flexibility with this role; however, in exchange, it's also very important that you're flexible with swapping shifts or covering more shifts when someone isn't available.

You're agile and a self learner. You will be part of a growing business who always strives to find better ways to do our jobs and constantly learn and develop.

If you have experience working in allied health practices, it's a bonus.
