About the role

We are seeking a motivated Dental/Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at Dee Why Orthodontics in Dee Why NSW on a part-time basis, 3 days per week, with the opportunity to move to permanent for the right person. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our orthodontists and ensuring the smooth running of our practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting orthodontists during patient consultations and procedures
  • Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments
  • Greeting and welcoming patients, ensuring they have a positive experience
  • Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
  • Providing patient education and instructions as needed
  • Performing general administrative duties to support the practice

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Dental/Orthodontic Assistant is preferred but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, colleagues, and the wider practice team
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in maintaining patient records and using dental software
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as required
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support
