Planning Manager – Major Projects (Client Side)

Sydney | Permanent | Senior Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join the client side and lead the delivery of strategic land use and transport planning across large-scale infrastructure and precinct developments. This is a pivotal senior leadership role, reporting to the Senior Manager of Master Planning and Safeguarding, with a strong pipeline of exciting and complex projects.

About the Role

  • Provide direction on master plans, environmental impact assessments, major development applications, and precinct strategies that optimise both landside and airside operations
  • Partner with government agencies, regulators, consultants, and community stakeholders to drive best-practice planning outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams across commercial, operations, and sustainability to ensure planning frameworks align with corporate objectives and long-term growth strategies
  • Support major commercial initiatives, balancing innovation, regulatory requirements, and business needs
  • Lead with a focus on innovation, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement in a complex and fast-paced environment

About You

  • Extensive experience in strategic land use and transport planning, ideally across large-scale or complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong track record engaging with government, regulators, and external stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of planning frameworks, environmental assessments, and statutory approvals
  • Proven ability to deliver outcomes that balance commercial objectives with regulatory and community expectations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
