Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Lead the planning, delivery, monitoring, and reporting of organisations Law reform implementation program.
- Ensure the program is completed on time, on budget, within scope, to the business requirements, and meeting quality standards.
- Ensure realistic quality, change control, and risk management processes are maintained.
- Create detailed project schedules and plans, ensuring all required deliverables are tracked clearly identifying dependencies and resource assignments.
- Accountable for continuous consistent monitoring and reporting of program status through to the Director and Steering Committee.
- Provide leadership to program team while maintaining a positive, collaborative working environment that instils respect, trust, quality and success as its core goals.
- Provide expert advice to the Senior Accountable Officer and other key stakeholders to enable fully informed and timely decision-making, while managing expectations.
- Comply with all organisations policies and procedures.
Skills and Capabilities
- Highly developed analytical, problem solving and organisational skills with an ability to meet priorities, competing deadlines and use of sound judgement in decision making
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Proven experience in inspiring, building, mentoring and managing a high performing team.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of people to provide consistent, responsive and high-quality advice and program support
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a regulatory, government, or transport environment.
- Strong knowledge of legislative or regulatory reform processes and their operational impacts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, risks, and high levels of stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong leadership capability with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMBOK, Agile) desirable.
