About Us
Ming's Restaurant is a renowned dining establishment specializing in Chinese-Malaysian cuisine, known for its rich flavors and authentic culinary experience. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team and bring creativity and expertise to our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan menus, estimate food and labor costs, and order ingredients.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation.
- Collaborate with managers, dietitians, and kitchen staff on food preparation.
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on best practices.
- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese-Malaysian dishes.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff as needed.
- Manage food preservation and freezing processes.
- Organize and oversee kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- At least a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- 1-2 years of experience as a chef.
- Strong expertise in Chinese-Malaysian cuisine.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced kitchen.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
