About Us

Indian Grill Restaurant is a well-established and popular dining venue in Greenway, Canberra, known for authentic and flavourful Indian cuisine. We serve traditional and modern Indian dishes made from fresh, high-quality ingredients.

We are looking for passionate and experienced Chefs and Cooks to join our kitchen team and help deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Chef (ANZSCO :

  • Plan and design menus and daily specials.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Manage food orders, inventory, and cost control.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and safety.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

Cook (ANZSCO :

  • Prepare and cook Indian dishes.
  • Assist in menu preparation and specials.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
  • Portion and present food to restaurant standards.
  • Receive and store food ingredients.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chef: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) + 1–2 years' relevant experience.
  • Cook: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) + 1–2 years' experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian ingredients, spices, and cooking methods.
  • Excellent teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.
