The Opportunity:

DT Infrastructure, a leading Australian provider of engineering and construction services, and Alstom, global leader in smart sustainable mobility solutions, have been awarded an AUD$1.6B contract by the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) for the design, supply, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of high capacity signalling technology for Perth's suburban rail network.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Design Lead with a strong background in rail projects. The ideal candidate will have chartered recognition and extensive experience in leading civil design initiatives within the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil design projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated rail solutions.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designer.

  • Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.

  • Chartered Engineer status.

  • Extensive experience in civil design within the rail industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering PTA rail projects.

  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficient in design software and tools.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
