Civil Design Engineer

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer with a passion for civil engineering and the energy sector?

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Civil Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will play a vital role in delivering complex technical projects from planning to construction.

  • Lead the production and review of engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports for masonry buildings, steel portal frames, transformer bunds, drainage systems and roads.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure effective project delivery, providing regular updates and identifying potential risks.
  • Manage design risks to deliver buildable solutions that meet client requirements.

Key attributes:

  • Proven experience working in a design environment for traditional masonry buildings, steel portal frames and reinforced concrete.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, with strong relationship management skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple simultaneous technical projects in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a highly skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in a broad range of civil engineering disciplines, including electrical infrastructure, substation design, and CAD software.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop civil engineering solutions for electricity transmission and distribution projects.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional body.
  • Practical experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Civils3D software.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
