As an F-35 Systems/ Database administrator, you will provide first class Information Systems support to allow F-35 Force projection in Defence of Australia and its National Interests.

We are looking to develop and provide training for the successful candidate and will consider transferable skills and experience including and not limited to: Avionics Technician, Database Administrator, ITC helpdesk, Configuration Officer, or desktop support.

This isn't just another sysadmin job — you'll be on the frontline of cutting-edge defence tech, supporting Australia's F-35 fighter jet program. Based at RAAF Base Tindal, you'll work with high-level mission systems (ALIS, ODIN, and MPSE) and support the Royal Australian Air Force in real-world operations.

Whether you're a proud NT local or ready for a bold new chapter, this role offers hands-on work, national impact, and serious tech cred.

What You'll Be Doing:

User Support + Troubleshooting

  • Be the go-to person for all things tech — managing accounts, passwords, and first-line support
  • Support pilots during mission planning/debriefs using advanced digital systems

System + Data Management

  • Keep critical defence systems running smoothly, securely, and up to date
  • Handle everything from software patches to compliance audits

Training + Knowledge Transfer

  • Help upskill RAAF personnel and share your tech know-how
  • Work alongside a supportive team and grow your leadership potential

Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery

  • Be the safety net for mission-critical systems — keeping data secure and recoverable

What You Bring:

Must-Haves:

  • Tertiary IT qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in system admin, SQL database admin, hardware/software support, or troubleshooting
  • Australian citizenship (due to Defence clearance requirements)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Windows Server and/or Linux experience
  • Oracle certifications (OCA/OCP)
  • Defence or project-based IT experience

How we reward and support you:

  • When you join Lockheed Martin, you work on projects you won't experience anywhere else.
  • We offer you a range of benefits built to suit you, no matter what stage of life you are in.
  • Access to our online discounts program offering immediate discounts or cashback.
  • A variety of leave options including Purchase Leave to support you and your family
  • Additional benefits such as Novated Leasing and Fitness Programs
  • Learning & Development platforms to encourage ongoing self-development.

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.

A Veteran-friendly Workplace:
