Desktop Engineer – Contract | Windows 11 Laptop Refresh Project

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to join our team on a contract basis to assist with a large-scale laptop refresh and Windows 11 upgrade project based in the Melbourne CBD.

This hands-on role involves working as part of a project team responsible for the deployment, upgrade, and configuration of end-user devices across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the rollout of new laptops and desktops as part of the Windows 11 upgrade program.
  • Image, configure, and deploy devices to end users.
  • Perform data migration, application installation, and hardware testing.
  • Provide technical support during and after deployment to ensure smooth transition.
  • Maintain accurate asset and deployment records.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working on deployment, refresh, or upgrade projects.
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 operating systems and device imaging tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a project-driven environment.
  • Valid and recent National Police Check (mandatory).
  • Immediate availability to commence work in Melbourne CBD.
