Job Description:

Business Central Developer (FME) 6-Month Contract

Were partnering with a leading enterprise undergoing a major systems transformation and are looking for an experienced Business Central Developer with strong FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) experience to join the team on an initial 6-month engagement.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on development role where youll be working across business-critical integrations, customisations, and data workflows within a modern Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. Your expertise in FME will be crucial in building data pipelines, automating transformations, and enabling seamless communication between Business Central and external platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and deploying customisations and extensions in Business Central (AL language)
  • Building and optimising data flows and transformation logic using FME Desktop/Server
  • Integrating Business Central with third-party systems, APIs, and data services
  • Collaborating with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
  • Supporting testing, deployment, and post-go-live optimisation

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV Developer
  • Proficiency in AL/Visual Studio Code, Business Central extension development, and API integration
  • Hands-on experience with FME (data transformation, workflows, automation)
  • Strong understanding of ERP processes, data structures, and integration patterns
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced project environment
