In addition to overseeing the care of our wonderful community access participants, you will play a key role in shaping their experiences. We are looking for a motivated, trustworthy, and reliable leader with a proven history of successfully managing, mentoring, and inspiring a team of Individual Support Workers.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to oversee the operations of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and vibrant Community Participation space. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, implementing and engaging group programs, including Healthy Living, Healthy Eating, Healthy Mind, Life Skills, and Peer Support. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact by developing empowering programs that help individuals reach their full potential in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee Supported Independent Living Home:Manage the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all participants.
• Design and Develop Group Programs:Create and implement group programs focused on Healthy Living, Healthy Eating, Life Skills, and Peer Support, tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant.
• Lead and Support the Team:Inspire and guide a team of staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery and fostering professional growth to drive team success.
• Engage and Empower Participants:Build strong, meaningful relationships with participants, promoting their personal growth and well-being through individualised support and targeted programs.
In this ongoing role, you will oversee all operational aspects, managing both your team and participant needs. This will involve a mix of shifts under the SCHADS Award, with a balance of on-the-floor responsibilities and administrative tasks.
Qualifications and ExperienceRelevant Qualification: A Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or Individual Support, with a deep understanding of the NDIS framework and a commitment to participant-centred care.
• Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in a leadership or team management role, ideally within disability, aged care, or community services, with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and guiding staff.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with participants, families, and stakeholders, while leading with clarity and influence.
• Collaboration and Team Building: Ability to foster strong, positive relationships with stakeholders and build a cohesive, high-performing team.
• Exceptional Problem-Solving and Organisational Skills: Capable of managing competing priorities, addressing challenges efficiently, and maintaining exceptional organisation and attention to detail in both administrative and hands-on service delivery.
