Our team delivers on the City of Gold Coast (City) aspirations to provide high quality services to the community, national and international sporting teams and organisations. About your new role

You will work closely with our Service Gold Coast department to proactively plan, schedule, and resource both planned and reactive maintenance work packages, utilising the City's systems and processes.You will assistwith the day-to-day asset maintenance and management functions to ensure facilities are presented in a fit-for-purpose condition, meet the needs of customers, and maximise the whole-of-life cycle of community assets.This role focuses on the assessment of building condition and defects through onsite evaluation, and the coordination of timely responses to unplanned or reactive maintenance issues to minimise service disruption and maintain operational standards.

We're looking for people who have:

  • 2+ years' experience working in facilities management, asset management or coordinating maintenance works.
  • 2+ years' experience in Computerised Maintenance Management systems(CMMS).
  • Cert III Trade Qualification (desirable)
  • Australian Drivers Licence Class C Unrestricted.
  • Proficiency in tracking, maintaining, and optimising community facilities, including understanding asset lifecycle management and maintenance planning.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and oversee maintenance and improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Understanding of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures relevant to community facilities.
  • Capability to analyse data and reports to make informed decisions about asset management and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, including community members, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to efficiently plan and prioritise tasks, manage schedules, and coordinate resources effectively.
  • Skill in identifying issues, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions to address maintenance and facility-related problems.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to building maintenance and safety.
  • Competence in using SAP, asset management databases, and other relevant technology to track and manage assets efficiently.
