About The Role
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist within the Tyres, Explosives & Emerging Markets team. This role can be based in either Brisbane or Perth. Reporting to the Lead – Tyres, Explosives & Emerging Markets, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement activities across Minerals Australia (MinAu) and Minerals America (MinAm). The successful candidate will play a key role in developing alternative vendor options, executing commercial trials, and driving value through effective supplier engagement and contract management.

  • Lead the procurement lifecycle for tyre-related trials, from strategy development and market engagement to contract execution and performance management.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to define KPIs, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure delivery of trial outcomes.
  • Partner with stakeholders across MinAu and MinAm to align sourcing strategies with operational needs.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the supply market, including emerging technologies and vendor capabilities.
  • Work with supply chain teams to optimise the value chain and minimise waste.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and support governance processes.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in Procurement, Project Management, Engineering, Business or related field (or equivalent experience in the natural resources sector).
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and contract management, ideally within the tyres or heavy equipment category.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyse supplier performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience in drafting documentation and supporting procurement processes.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Confidence to engage senior leaders and influence decision-making
  • Spanish language skills (desired, not essential) to strengthen connections with Minerals America operations teams
